HVAC Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

This seat owns the membership and maintenance book. You run precision tune-ups, keep ABA Home+ customers on schedule, catch problems before they become no-cool calls, and leave every home better documented than you found it. You are not a parts-swap service tech and you are not a helper. You are the reason members stay.

Objectives

• Complete scheduled tune-ups to the Absolute checklist, not a 10-minute filter change
• Protect ABA Home+ members: on-time visits, clean notes, no skipped steps
• Flag failing capacitors, drains, filters, and airflow before the system goes down
• Explain findings in plain language and turn needed repairs over to service the right way
• Keep membership renewal and review requests part of the wrap-up
• Represent the brand in attics, closets, and driveways across Henry County and south Metro Atlanta

Competencies

• Steady, clean, and thorough — not fast and sloppy
• Comfortable talking to homeowners without selling hard
• Follows a process the same way on the last call of the day
• Writes notes a service tech can use
• Takes pride in preventive work, not just emergency heroics

Education & Experience

• 1–3+ years residential HVAC maintenance or service
• EPA 608 preferred (required to move up)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work attics, roofs, and crawlspaces
• NATE or BPI is a plus
