HVAC Apprentice / Helper

Location McDonough, GA — field work across the McDonough and Atlanta service circles

Workplace Field-based with a lead tech or install crew. Early starts. Heat, cold, attics, and heavy lifting.

Compensation $14–$17 per hour. Paid one-year training role; no bonus plan.

Position Summary

This is a one-year training path for people with no HVAC experience. You will not run calls alone on day one. You haul, stage, hold, clean, pull wire, carry equipment, and learn the Absolute process beside a lead tech. If you show up, work hard, and finish the year, the target is moving into maintenance tech. This is how we build service techs — not a summer job.

Objectives

Complete a structured one-year helper-to-tech path
Show up on time, in uniform, ready to work
Assist service and install techs with equipment, tools, and job-site setup
Keep the truck, job site, and customer’s home clean
Learn the Absolute inspection and safety process
Earn EPA 608 during the training year
Protect the customer’s home and the company’s reputation on every job

Competencies

No experience required — coachable and not fragile
Works hard without being told twice
Safe around electricity, ladders, and heavy equipment
Respectful in someone else’s house
Willing to stay for the full year and move up

Education & Experience

No HVAC experience required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics and crawlspaces
Must be willing to get EPA 608 in year one

Total Rewards

$14–$17/hr; no bonus plan
Paid on-the-job training for one year
